Good Day?

It isn't just a good day to-day, it's the best day of the year.

This year, 21st December is the shortest day. That's why it's the best day.

From to-morrow we start to move away from the dull, dark December days which precede Christmas.
I don't really mind the dark evenings. When it's cold, wet, windy, frosty or whatever, I like closing the curtains and relaxing. But I hate getting up in the dark. And what really gets to me are the days when it never seems to get clear.

Actually, because of the snow, to-day wasn't such a dark day.

It is hard to get up when it's still pitch black, but on the plus side, I've witnessed some fantastic sunrises. Merry Christmas!

Oh that looks like where I live, here in the Midwest!

And I love that days will get longer, I might not have to spend so much time waking in the darkness, and that also means school will be out soon! (If you call 6 months soon... hmmm!)

Happy Solstice!
