This year we had a better summer than usual.  I was out enjoying the good weather and didn't take time to post photos.
Now the dark evenings are back.  Computer time again.

The Twelfth

12th July is a holiday in Northern Ireland, so out for lunch at a little bistro beside the River Bann.

The ferry from Rathlin Island arrives at Ballycastle Harbour.

Duck Pond, Ballymoney

The Duck Pond in Riverside Park in Ballymoney.

The Ballymoney River - really a small stream - has a dam which created the Duck Pond.
The ducks live at the top end of the pond, where small children frequently feed them with chunks of bread.
The park is popular with walkers.

Castlerock Beach

Sunny evening, but with a cold north-west wind.  Good for a brisk walk along Castlerock Beach.

Cherry Blossom

We've had a very cold and late spring, but the cherry blossom has finally appeared.

Binevenagh

Binevenagh, near Limavady, as seen from the window of the train to Derry. 
The photo was taken yesterday and shows snow still lying on the hills a couple of weeks after the severe spring snowstorm which disrupted most of Northern Ireland.
